Controller Releases Security Measures for State of Emergency

Saturday 13 January 2024

The Acting Commissioner of Police and Controller of the State of Emergency Donald Yamasombi today released four new security measures for the duration of the SOE, effective Friday 12th January 2024 through to Friday 26th January 2024.

The Measures include:

  • Public Gathering (No.1);
  • Stop, Search, & Seizure (No.2);
  • Sale and Consumption of Alcohol (No.3);
  • Prices of Goods & Services (No.4); and
  • Curfew (No.5).

The Controller has further advised that there is no Curfew imposed during this SOE period.  These Measures can be viewed in details on this government website: www.info.gov.pg
