Nakanai District, in West New Britain, was one of the 7 new electoral boundaries approved by Parliament in 2022 and went to the poll that year. Another milestone for the new district, for the people of Sobula in East Nakanai LLG, was the recent construction launch of a 10km stretch of road that will run from Bamus to Noau.
This is a Connect PNG initiative that will ensure that a total 42km of road is completed. This will further open access to an already thriving oil palm economy for the province.
