NORMALCY TO BE RESTORED IN THE CITY, PAY CUT ISSUE ADDRESSED AND GOVT APOLOGIZE TO BUSINESS HOUSES.

Good afternoon All.

The NEC has approved for Defence to assist police restore order in the city.

I want to appeal to citizens to protect our city. The police and public servant grievances are being addressed and by next pay the lost salary would be restored.

This was an oversight by Government payroll people who did not upload our budget approved K20,000 nontax paying threshold. Without this update the non-tax paying threshold reverted back to the original K12,500 level hence the deductions.

NEC has made decision for defense call out to assist police tonight and onwards until we restore order in the city.

All genuine police force members are encouraged to report to duty, your concerns are being heard.

To the public. This is your country. The business houses pay taxes, and these taxes pay your children school fees as well as the salary we all earn. Let’s us protect them.

To those businesses who faced losses today, Government took note of your losses, we apologize, and we shall look at a tax relief measure to recover some losses.
